Mkts witnessed volatile session of trade and it outperformed the Asian mkts. Sensex & Nifty hit lifetime highs and make highest closing ever. Sensex was up 165 pts at 20465, it gains 388 pts from days low while Nifty was up 35 pts at 6179, gains 119 pts from days low. CNX Midcap Index was up 2.1% while BSE Small-cap Index was up 1.4%.

Non-Index gainers were Indiabulls Finance, up 20%, Atlanta, up 20%, Bombay Dyeing, up 19%, Religare, up 12.1%, Venky’s, up 17%, Hindustan Motors, up 11%.
Banking stocks buzz: UCO Bank was up 16.3%, Canara Bank was up 14.7%, ING Vysya Bank was up 11%, City Union Bank was up 10%, Karur Vysya Bank was up 9.8%.
